About Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD)
Adequate and unobstructed blood flow to the arms and legs is essential in maintaining the health and strength of your limbs. PAD is a build-up of fatty substances or cholesterol in the peripheral arteries that can decrease the flow of blood to arms and/or legs; resulting in persistent pain, inability to heal wounds or tissue death (gangrene).
PAD Screening
Futura’s PAD screening is quick, painless and non-invasive. Simple blood pressure monitoring by an ultrasound of upper arms and ankles are conducted while you are at rest.
Results are reviewed by Futura’s industry-leading medical team, and complete results are mailed to you and your physician in just a few days. If we do find anything of concern, we will discuss this with you right away and then we will get in contact with your physician as soon as possible to alert them to the findings.
Scheduling and Cost
Screening does not require a referral from your physician or submission of a claim to your insurance company. PAD screening, including all analysis and delivery of results to you and your physician, is $45. (If multiple screenings are recommended, discounts are available.)
