Know Your Risk for Vascular Disease
Vascular = Related to the blood vessels, both arteries and veins, and blood circulation within the body.
By taking a moment to answer a few questions, you can know your risk for vascular disease. If you are at risk, you can take immediate, easy steps to do something about it. It’s a simple process for you, your family and your friends—that can save lives.
Screening = Looking for disease when there are no symptoms.
Futura offers simple, non-invasive and inexpensive screenings for the most common vascular diseases. The Futura Risk Calculator can tell you right away if you are potentially at risk for stroke, abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) or peripheral arterial disease (PAD). These are some of the most common, undiagnosed diseases, which can lead to disability and even death if left untreated.
Only if you are at risk is it recommended that you schedule a screening with Futura. Too often, unnecessary screenings are recommended to the general public (see “Why Not Screen Everyone?”). By answering the simple questions here on the Futura Risk Calculator, you will know if you should be screened and, if so, for which vascular diseases.
Futura Health Screening is the only ICAVL accredited non-invasive vascular screening program in Washington State. ICAVL (The Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories) requires high standards to ensure quality vascular screening exams.
